Larry R. Swenson, 59, died September 19, 2012 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born on November 19, 1952 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin to the late Donald and Audrey (Schultz) Swenson. He was married to Jane (Elliott) Swenson of Springdale.
He was a manager at National Home Center, now STOCK Building Supply, in Springdale for over 28 years. Larry enjoyed gardening, watching Westerns, spending time fishing with his grandkids and, most of all, being a grandpa.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Samantha Swenson of Fayetteville, Erika Finstuen of Rochester, Minn.; three step-daughters, Rebecca Samples, Emma Hooper, both of Springdale, and Jessica Durisseau of West Fork; four brothers, Rick Swenson of St. Charles, Minn., Scott Swenson of Rogers, Greg Swenson of Utica, Minn., and John Schultz of Pea Ridge; four sisters, Pam Doerge of St. Charles, Minn., Trudy Friedl of LaCrescent, Minn., Renae Hartman, Leah Swenson, both of St. Charles, Minn., and 12 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son, Adam John Swenson and sister, Kristi Swenson-King.
A memorial service will be at 11:00am, Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers.
