It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Phillips, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Larry departed this world on November 17th, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and a profound love for life.
Larry's journey began on April 30th, 1942, in Booneville, Arkansas. He grew up in the close-knit community, where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for family values. Larry pursued his higher education at the University of Arkansas for Agriculture, laying the foundation for a successful and fulfilling life.
Larry dedicated over 30 years of his life to the fields of real estate development and insurance, where he exemplified diligence and commitment in his work. His expertise and hard work left an indelible mark on the industry, earning him the respect and admiration of colleagues and peers alike.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Larry found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was always up for an adventure and had created countless memories with those he held dear. Whether that be going on a hunting or fishing trip with his friends and grandson or traveling to Florida every winter with his wife. Larry's zest for life was infectious.
His love for nature was surpassed only by his deep relationship with Jesus Christ and his love for family and friends. Larry was a pillar of strength and a source of unwavering support, always ready with a smile, a kind word, or a helping hand (or tool).
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Phillips, his loving partner in life's adventures, his grandson, Neal Crisler, who carries on his spirit of resilience and love for fishing, his brother Micheal Phillips, and his sister Tawana West. Larry will also be remembered fondly by his stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and a host of friends who were fortunate enough to share in the joy of his company.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Beatrice Phillips, and his daughter, Kim Barker.
Larry Phillips will be dearly missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the serenity he found in the great outdoors, and the love that surrounded him throughout his remarkable life.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 3rd, 2023, at 1:00pm at First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge.
