Before moving to Arkansas Ken lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he was Co-Owner of Precision Service Plumbing and Heating for many years. Ken was very proud to be a Shriner and member of the Loco Patrol because of the charity work they provided for the Ronald McDonald house as well as many other like organizations.
After moving to Arkansas, he became an avid lover of golf and would play daily. In his later years he resided at the Cassville Health Care and Rehabilitation Center where he took the job as President of Resident Council very seriously and made sure that the residents were treated with dignity and respect. Ken didn’t realize it at the time, but he left behind a legacy of wisdom mixed with humor for friends and family with his “Davisisms of the day” on social media. He was faithful to publish one every day even when he wasn’t feeling his best. His Davisisms will be greatly missed, but his words of wisdom can be read forever.
Kenneth had a feisty character that mellowed with age but none-the-less never fully dissipated. You had to be on guard when going out in public with him because you never knew when he might go up to a stranger and tell a (sometimes colorful) joke. Though still feisty he had a good heart and wanted all to be right with his family and friends and if he had it to give, he would gladly do so.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Mary Morgan and Anna Hull; sister, Sharon Crabtree Guthrie and brother, Charles Davis.
He is survived by brother, Myron “Uncle Skeet” Davis (Sharon); and sister, Carolyn Saiz; his children, Kenny Davis, Jr., Scott Davis, Angie Hardman (Jamie), Mike Davis (Kamberly), Tammy Hamm (Dan), Norma Lasiter (Jerry) and Danny Slingerland; many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He will be buried with his wife, Anna Davis, in Fayetteville National Cemetery on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 1:30pm.
Military honors will be rendered.
