John William Elliott, 85, passed away on December 6, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He was born on September 14, 1937 to the late Thomas N. and Neomia J. (Blackburn) Elliott in Rogers.
John was a United States Army Veteran and a past Deputy Chief of the Rogers Fire Department. He served with pride all the while encouraging other men to fulfill their dreams of becoming Firemen. John retired after 20 years of faithful service. He was a lifelong resident of Rogers and member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Rogers.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Julia Elliott; daughter, Janetta Elliott-Hawk; son, Jeffrey Elliott; and sisters, Billie Marie Bross and Betty Ruth King.
John is survived by his daughter, Lorri Elliott-Johnson; sister, Lilly Edith Harris; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 12:30-1:30 at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. A brief service will follow along with the Firefighter Final Call. Burial at Rogers Cemetery will be private.
