James Ward, 93, passed away on May 23, 2021 in Rogers. He was born on May 17, 1928 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to the late Newton Jr. Ward and Mattie L. (Jackson) Ward. He was the loving husband of 71 years to Mildred (Williams) Ward.

James was a Naval WWII veteran. While in the service he was a SeaBee and traveled all over.

He enjoyed camping and traveling with his wife. He owned Beaver Lake Speedway and James Diesel Service for many years.

James was preceded in death by his son, Mike Ward in 2013.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred of Garfield; son, Rickey of Garfield; grandsons, Brian, Roth, and Ryan; and 7 great-grandchildren.
