James Allen Kilby, 85, of Rogers passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022. He was born June 29, 1936 in Hannibal, Missouri to the late James Malcolm Kilby and Dorothea Utterbach Kilby. James was also preceded by his step-mother, Wanda Kilby. Mr. Kilby proudly served in the US Air Force for more than 20 years teaching electronics to airmen and South Vietnamese servicemen. After his service, he began a nearly 20 year career with JB Hunt trucking as a safety supervisor, from which he retired. James enjoyed playing golf, was an avid Razorback fan, long-time member of Peace Lutheran Church and a Mason. Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 63 years, Marilyn Gillean Kilby Ed.D.; a daughter, Cassandra Dobbins; 2 sons, Brian and C.J. Kilby, all of Rogers; 3 brothers, Bill Kilby of South Carolina, Tim Kilby of Tennessee and Mark Kilby of Missouri; 3 grandchildren; 4 great- grandchildren; numerous extended family members and dear friends. Visitation will be from 5-7:00pm, Wednesday, April 27 and his Funeral Service will begin at 1:00pm, Thursday, April 28, 2022 all in the Chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Private interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
