Herbert Doyle Howie Jr.

Herbert Doyle Howie, Jr., of Rogers, died Thursday March 15 at his home. He was born December 4, 1944 in Asheville, North Carolina to Phena B. and the late Herbert D. Howie, Sr. Herb was preceded in death by his father and one daughter, Cheryl Howie. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Howie, of the home; one son, Michael Howie and wife Crystal of Springdale; one daughter, Jaime Howie Thompson of Bentonville; two step-sons, Zachary Knox and wife Megan of Rocky Comfort, MO, and Jared Knox of Rogers; one step-daughter, Kristine Elam and husband Brian of Little Rock; one brother, Kenneth Howie and wife Beth of Rogers; one sister, Belinda Campbell and husband Sidney of Thomson, GA; and 10 grandchildren. Herb was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. A memorial service for Herb will be 12:30pm Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers with visitation starting at 10am that same morning. Burial of Herb’s ashes will take place that same afternoon at 2pm at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
