Glenn Truman Rodden, 98, passed away at his home in Rogers. He was born on September 24, 1924 to Roy Able and Lou E. (Whittle) Rodden in Jefferson City, Missouri. Glenn was married to the love of his life, Genevieve (Weaver) Rodden, for 72 years and lived in Bentonville for the last 60 years.
Glenn served his country in the Navy during WWII, and spent 18 months on a ship at sea in the Pacific.
He was retired from Emerson Electric in Rogers and a member of First Landmark Baptist Church in Bentonville, where he loved being an usher.
He also loved working in the yard and being outside. He was known for his appreciation of cars, and the ones he owned he hand washed so they were always spotless and shiny.
Glenn was an amazing Dad and Grandpa and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Rodden, who passed in 2018; brothers, Freeman Rodden and Gene Rodden; and sister, Dixie Eldridge.
Glenn is survived by his daughter, Glenda Lovell and husband, Butch of Bentonville; son, Ross Rodden and wife, Donna of Rogers; three sisters, Gale Baily and husband John of Lebonon, Missouri, Joy Pitts and husband, Pete of Clifty, Arkansas, and Sharon Powell of Okeechobee, Florida; three grandchildren, Trae Lovell, Michele Yarber, Shonda Wolfinbarger; four great grandkids, Trent Lovell, Ty Lovell, Dakota Smitherman, and Zac Wolfinbarger; and two great-great grandkids, Paisley and Elley Smitherman.
