Francis (Frank) Boucher was called to his heavenly home on June 30, one month shy of his 85th birthday. His death was the result of a fall. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Frank graduated from Stonehill and Boston Colleges and UW-Madison. Frank and his wife Jo Koelle met while they were students at Stonehill College. They enjoyed sixty years of happy marriage. Frank spent his career at Wisconsin Electric Power Co. in Milwaukee. An animal lover, Frank raised and showed rabbits when he was growing up. He and his dad were champion pigeon racers. While working, he served on the school board and coached girls’ and boys’ recreational softball teams in Glendale, Wisconsin.
Frank was justifiably proud of his children: Mike (Angelia). Steve (Marisol), Marc (Meg), Sandra and Maria Elena (Rennie). After retirement, Frank and Jo moved to Rogers. They never regretted the move except for the distance from the family. Frank served the SVDP Catholic church community as greeter and annulment advocate. He enjoyed tutoring adult ESL students through the Literacy Council of Benton County working with folks from Japan, Mexico, Russia and many other countries.
Some years ago, you might have seen him driving around town with his beautiful white dog, Sasha, in the passenger seat. Even the dog was nervous riding with him although Frank was oblivious to the honking horns.
Frank is survived by his wife, children, nine grandchildren, his brother-in-law Jim Koelle, sister-in-law Betsy O’Connor and his doggie gal, Anya. Because of Covid, a private family internment is planned. In lieu of flowers, please send your donations to the Rogers Humane Society, 407 E. Nursery Road, Rogers, AR 72757 or Feed Rogers Food Pantry, 216 S. 13th Street, Rogers, AR 72758 or the animal charity of your choice.
