Donald “Don” L. Pollock, 83, died February 20, 2011 at Circle of Life Legacy Village. Don was the loving husband of Virgalene (Chappell) Pollock. He was born May 31, 1927 in Soldier, KS to the late William and Grace (Adams) Pollock.
Don was a police officer in the Arkansas State Police Force for 35 years, retiring as a Corporal. Among his duties as an officer, he would conduct driver tests.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He also loved spending time with his family and looked forward to annual family reunions. Don was an avid fisher who enjoyed traveling and reading.
Mr. Pollock is survived by two sons Tom and Nina Verkler of Bella Vista, Jack and Jane Verkler of MS; six daughters, Sandra O’Neill of CO, Cheryl and Roy Shorter of Springdale, Deborah Bailey of Lowell, Jane Freeman of Sparkman, Sandra Jones of AZ and Susan and Thomas Gawf of Lynn. Don has two brothers and a sister, Charles Pollock, Gene Pollock, and Betty Lyon all of KS. He also leaves 21 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his son Jim Verkler and a brother Richard Pollock.
Don’s funeral will be Wednesday, February 23 at 10:00 am in the South Side Church of Christ. Services to be officiated by Jackie Chesnutt. His visitation will be Tuesday from 5 till 7 pm in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel, 1401 W. Hudson Rd, Rogers. Burial to follow funeral in Rogers Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bill Bohanan, Daniel Dickard, Mike Gawf, Maxwell Havens, Jon Shorter and James Shorter.
