Dawn enjoyed many things in life, such as reading Sci-Fi books, especially Star Wars and Star Trek. She spent a lot of time volunteering at her church, and she loved traveling, mostly to the beach. Dawn was an avid sports fan and attended many Razorback baseball and hockey games, Detroit Tigers baseball and Detroit Redwings hockey. She also enjoyed the many colors of fall and loved to admire the foliage at that time of year. Dawn joined the Army in 1982 and honorably served 3 years. While serving, she met the love of her life, Bruce Norton. They were married on May 10th, 1984. She followed her husband, Bruce, to Germany where they lived for the next 3 years while he served in the Army. While there, she gave birth to their son, Shaun, in 1985. Together they have shared 40 years of bliss. In Bruce’s words “she was the best wife a man could ever ask for. She ran the house with an iron fist and she deserved a lot more in life than what she got. Dawn was the most beautiful woman inside and out.” She will be missed by many friends she made from her church, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic, and the Walmart Optical Lab, where she worked for 26 years.
Dawn is survived her husband, Bruce Norton; son, Shaun Norton; daughter-in-law, Christie Norton; one step-grandchild, Zachary Rollins, two brothers, Kevin and Chris Bolton; and one sister, Melanie Bolton, all from Michigan and also many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Donna Bolton and two brothers, David and Terry Bolton.
Memorial services will be November 21, 2024 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church located at 1416 W Poplar Street in Rogers.
