Cindy Jean Wofford (Cooper), 66, of Bentonville, AR, passed away on August 12, 2023. She was born on December 18, 1956, in Neosho, MO, to the late Howard (Gene) Cooper and Helen McNelly. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Howard (Duke) Wofford, and her daughters, Tammy Friederich (husband, Scott) and Amy France (husband, Travis).
Cindy was known for her love of animals, music, watching westerns, flowers, Dr. Pepper, gum, crossword puzzles, and anything chocolate. She cherished these simple pleasures in life and found joy in sharing them with her family and friends.
In addition, Cindy leaves behind a stepmother, Virgina (Kay) Cooper. A legacy of love and memories for her granddaughters, Britney Geiser (husband, Bruce), Carly Friederich, Adalee Powers, Blakelee France. She also had a relationship with her step grandchildren Justin Friederich and Amanda Friederich. Cindy was blessed with six great-grandchildren who brought immense happiness to her life, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and longtime friends and other family members.
Cindy was survived by siblings Debbie Newbury (husband, Malcolm), Kevin McNelly (wife, Charlene), Charles (Chucky) McNelly, Shane McNelly (wife, Tiffany), Gina Marrs (husband, Tim), Debra Slinkard (husband, Eugene), Lanna Nichols (late husband, J.R.) Thomas Russell and David Russell (wife, Marsha).
She was preceded in death by her father, Howard (Gene) Cooper, her mother, Helen McNelly, and her stepfather, Larry McNelly.
A visitation for Cindy will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Rollins Funeral Chapel, 1401 W Hudson Rd, Rogers, AR 72756. A graveside service will occur Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Bentonville Cemetery, 400 SW F St, Bentonville, AR 72712. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during these times.
