Mrs. Mary Etta Pridgen Farmer, age 81 of Rocky Mount, passed away in Nash General Hospital January 1, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Elsie Parker, husband Eddie Pridgen, brothers: Herman, David and Marvin Parker, sisters: Hazel Turner and Doris Jean Wood, three great grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband Lynwood Farmer of the home, two daughters: Phyllis Farmer (Doug) of Elm City and Linda Brantley (Leon) of Nashville, two step children: Rebecca Watson of Sharpsburg and Curtis Farmer of Rocky Mount, three brothers: Floyd, Leaston and Homer Parker all of Nashville, one sister Anita Anderson of Wilmington, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Mary Etta’s life will be held at the Chapel of Johnson Funerals and Cremations, 661 English Road, Rocky Mount NC, Sunday January 4, 2015 at 2 PM with the interment following at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
