Mr. Clarence Jasper Rose

Mr. Clarence Jasper “Jack” Rose, age 90 of Rocky Mount, NC, passed away on March 20, 2015. He was born February 23, 1925 in Nash County. He is preceded in death by his parents William Henry Rose, Annie Sikes Rose and his sister Mamie Rose Perry. Jack worked for 33 years with Southland Life insurance company until his retirement. After retirement, he spent his time working on lawnmowers and restaurant equipment at home. In his younger years, he managed several softball teams throughout the county. He was also an active member of the Optimist Club of Rocky Mount. He was a member of North Rocky Mount Baptist Church and attended Calvary Baptist Church. Jack is survived by his wife of 64 years Rachel Collins Rose and daughter Sandy Rose of the home, daughter Donna and husband Mike Strickland of Rocky Mount, granddaughter Michelle and husband Thomas High and great-grandchild Michael Thomas High all of Rocky Mount. Graveside services will be held at Pineview Cemetery on Sunday March 22, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Family will be available at grave site after services or at the home of Mike and Donna Strickland.
