On Wednesday, June 30, 2010 - Sarah Bassin of Naples, FL. formerly of Washington DC. Beloved wife of the late Max A. Bassin; devoted and loving mother of Robert H. (Shirley) Bassin, and Brenda G. (Michael) Finci; adored grandmother of Rochelle E. (Walter) Eckhardt, Stuart H. (Tobi) Bassin, Lawrence A. Bassin (Veronica Di Fresco), and David S. (Lynn) Bassin; dear great grandmother of Dani (Robert) Goodman, Michelle R. Eckhardt, and Gabriel, Isabel, Olivia, Maxwell, Iliana, Addie, Jonah, and Brielle Bassin; great-great grandmother of Robert Goodman, Jr.; loving sister of

George (Roz) Zitelman.

Sarah is best-remembered to long time Washington, DC area residents as co-owner, and manager of Bassin's Restaurant, a fixture on Pennsylvania Avenue for more than 30 years.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 7 - 11 AM at DANZANSKY-GOLDBERG MEMORIAL CHAPELS INC. 1170 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852. Interment to follow at King David Memorial Gardens - Falls Church, VA. The family will be receiving friends immediately following the interment through Friday afternoon at the residence of Stuart and Tobi Bassin. Minyan services will be held there Wednesday and Thursday evening at 7:45 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
