Marvin Blumberg

On Sunday, July 1, 2012, Marvin Blumberg, of Rockville, Maryland, Beloved Husband of the late Charlotte Maletz Blumberg, and of Eva Rich Blumberg, Devoted Father of Joan George and Laura (Lewis) Gitlin, Loving Brother of the late Leroy Blumberg and Florine (Norman) Berry, Adored “Pop Pop” to Todd, Justin, Ryan and Hayley, and Beloved “Marvin” to Julian (Meryl) Rich, Charles (Rita) Rich, Steve (Patti) Rich, Nathan, Howie, Jacob and Benjamin. He was a partner at A.D. Ring & Associates, where he pioneered solutions for radio and television transmissions. In 1998, he received an award from the Broadcast Pioneers of the Washington Area for his valuable contributions and distinguished years of service in broadcasting. He had a passion for stamp collecting, crossword puzzles, gardening, the Redskins and all things water particularly the art of catching and eating crabs. He will be missed. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042. Interment following at King David Memorial Gardens. Family will be receiving friends immediately following interment and Shiva will begin at 7:00 pm, Thursday.
