William was known as “Bill” to his family and friends. Bill was born in Everett, Massachusetts. Bill was a proud Union Ironworker for over 40 years in Florida and New York with Locals 808, 402, 580, 197, and 40, 361, & 417. Bill also honored his country by serving in the United States Navy during the Korean War from August 7, 1952 through June 20, 1956. For his dedicated service, Bill received the National Defense Service Medal and China Service Medal. Bill was also a certified member of the American Legion.
Bill was survived by his loving wife of over 54 years, Norma Belle Foley, Two (2) sons, William Kevin Foley and Timothy Thomas Foley, One (1) daughter, Beth Magdalene Terry, and Three (3) grandchildren, William Don Terry, Charlene Dawn Terry, and Kevin Bryce Foley. Bill also had a lifelong dedication to community service through his continuous membership as a Azan Shriner with the Palm Bay/Melbourne, Florida, Lodge, as a member of the Orlando Scottish Rite, Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Valley of Orlando, Orient of Florida, and as a Free & Accepted Mason of the Grand Lodge of the State of New York, Norseman #878 (Brooklyn, NY) where he served as Past Master for 1998, and of the Grand Lodge of the State of Florida, Palm Bay #397, where he served as Past Master for 2009.
A graveside service will be Friday, May 29, 2015 at 3:00pm in Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge FL.
