Wadad Faris Nime passed away peacefully at her home in Cape Canaveral, Florida on April 13,2024, surrounded by her daughters, Mary Louise ( Maro) Nime and Dr. Freda Nime-Matuk and her son-in-law Dr. Fairuz Matuk.
She is also survived by her three loving grandchildren, Dr. Rani Matuk, Saji Matuk and Jad Matuk, and four great-grandchildren, Kaisen, Lenix, Emmett and Miles. She is preceded in death by her husband, Abraham Nime and her daughter, Dr. Lucille Nime.
Wadad was born in Lebanon and emigrated to the U.S.A. with her husband Abraham, a dentist, and became proud American citizens. They settled in Canton, Ohio within a large Lebanese community. She later moved to Florida and had lived in Cape Canaveral for the past forty years.
Her life revolved around her family and friends. She was a fantastic cook of Lebanese cuisine and had recipes printed in cookbooks. She loved to cook for family, friends, and neighbors.
She was a faithful member of Our Saviours' Catholic Church, and enjoyed volunteering at the Church Fair every year.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 11 am at Church of Our Saviour, 5301 North Atlantic Avenue, Cocoa Beach, Florida. A reception will follow in the Angel Room.
