After her mother passed, she returned to Florida and eventually married Wilson Turner on May 6, 1972. They shared many happy years, until his passing in October 2018. Her favorite hobbies were: Gardening, painting, reading, and cooking. She took great joy in sewing clothes for her grandchildren and making dolls for them. The grandchildren’s favorite memory of Ruth was of her cooking several different kinds of cookies around Christmas time when they came to visit. They would always look for a huge glass pig in which she placed the cookies.
Her favorite hymns were Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art, Blessed Assurance, The Old Rugged Cross and I Surrender All. She was a true caregiver to anyone in need.
God has received another angel and all who knew her have lost one.
