She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Michael Grigsby (Susan), Mark Grigsby, Darla Crowl (Scott), and Lee Ann Sultan (Ramez). Beloved grandma to Christopher Grigsby (Amanda) and Michael Grigsby (Danielle); Stephanie Grigsby and Tyler Grigsby; Justin Simpson (Tabitha) and Courtney Knutzen (Zach). GiGi to Ezra Grigsby, Raven Warren, Geralt Simpson, Nalia Staub, Kellan Knutzen, and Brinley Knutzen.
Ruth was predeceased by her devoted husband Charles Edward and loving parents Virgil and Dollie Harris, brothers Vernon and Ivan Harris and sister Blanche Youngblood.
She was born in Liberty, Kentucky and moved to Cocoa, FL in 1964. She worked for the City of Cocoa Beach. City of Cape Canaveral and City of Indian Harbour Beach as City Clerk until her retirement. She was very involved at Clearlake Baptist Church through the years.
Family and friends will be received at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial (5950 S US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL 32955) on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 5-7 pm. A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 9-11:30 am with burial to follow.
