He leaves behind his wife Barbara, of 57 years, his sons: Ron, Jr. and wife Paula, Randy and wife Robin, and Michael and his "favorite" daughter Cathy. Five grandchildren: Meghan, Allison, Rand, Samantha and Jayden and two great grandchildren: Kate and William, as well as the highly anticipated baby boy, Grant, expected to arrive next week. Waiting in Heaven for him are his mother and his brothers.
Ron loved life to the fullest and never met anyone he didn't like. He was in sales all of his life and was always a witness for his savior. He was one of those "obnoxious" people that witnessed to everybody whether they wanted to hear it or not.
He moved with his family to Orlando, FL. in 1949 and married the love of his life November 29, 1958. He loved his church and was a deacon for many years. Ron became born again in 1959 and never waivered in his faith. He loved to sing and was a choir member for years until his health prevented it. He volunteered at the House of Hope and loved getting and giving many hugs to sometimes harder to love people. He loved to travel and was always ready to go around the block or around the world. His favorite thing was cruising. His heart had rapidly deteriorated the past few months but he never complained and made it so easy to care for him. He will be so missed and leaves such a large hole in our hearts.
There will be a visitation from 11am-12pm with a funeral service to follow at 12pm on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Merritt Island, 140 Magnolia Avenue, Merritt Island, FL. Entombment will be at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL.
