Ron graduated from high school in Bethesda, Maryland and graduated from the University of Maryland; he joined the U.S. Air Force in 1951. He married Dolores Eddleman on June 5, 1968 in Vero Beach, Florida.
Ron was a career Air Force man, working as a rescue helicopter pilot in the Korean and Vietnam wars. During his career, he lived in Thailand, Korea, Vietnam, Okinawa, Utah and ultimately settled with his family in Brevard County.
He enjoyed many interests during his life including golf, sailing, and motorcycling. He was a member of a computer club and a rowing club. He loved music of all kinds and taught himself to play the banjo and ukulele, even played in a band! Ron loved his family and spending time with them.
Ron is survived by his wife Dolores; children Karen Ingraham, Eric (Ana) Ingraham and Brian Ingraham; step-children Cheri Vincent, Doug (Anna) Eddleman and Mark Eddleman. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members and friends. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, his son Dale Ingraham and his brother Richard Ingraham.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, 2:00PM at the Life Event Center @ Florida Memorial Funeral Home, 5950 US Hwy 1 S., Rockledge, Florida 32955. A gathering of family and friends for light refreshments and fellowship will be held at the At Ease Club at IRCC from 3:30-5:30 that day.
