Robert J. Mortimer of Melbourne/Palm Bay, FL passed away in Rockledge, FL on March 30, 2019. He was 90 years old. Robert was born in Toledo, Ohio and came to Brevard County from Williamsville, NY. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked as an Aerospace Engineer at Bell Aerospace/Atlantic Research Corp. as Technical Director of Liquid Propulsion Group.
Robert is survived by his son, Michael Mortimer (Laurie); granddaughters, Christine and Kelly and grandson, Michael Mortimer; sister, Louise Livingston (Donald); and nieces, Susan and Annette, and nephew, David. He was predeceased by his first wife of 49 years, Joyce L. Mortimer and his second wife of 14 years, Norma Taylor. He was also predeceased by his parents, Earl and Agnes Mortimer.
A Visitation and Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 at Ascension Catholic Church,
2950 N Harbor City Blvd, Melbourne, FL at 11:00am.
