My lasting lessons and impressions from Mr. Levine is from my childhood with his son, my friend, Andrew.  He was a bulwark against any kind of anti-semitism. A kid down the street with a fresh mouth, there was Richard not turning the cheek but giving the family a proper ear ringing. He helped educate me on the atrocities of WWII and that lives with me to this day.  I am VEHEMENTLY pro-Israel, and I confess, despite some not liking the BiBi, I'm a BIG FAN of Benjamin Netanyahu.  Strong, decisisive, resolute and powerful, I have to believe Mr. Levine respected this leader too. 

Some of his lessons and many memories live within me, everyday.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you all during this time of remembrance. 

Rich was a wonderful person and a kind soul. He definitely added value to mankind. If there were more of his ilk the world would be a better place.

Be well and think of the good times you all shared.

On a personal note, I met him in Northport in the mid 70’s on a visit from Northeastern with Morris.

From the beginning, It meant a lot to me that Rich was interested in my life and future. 

Baseball became a common theme for us from the original NY teams to the Mets. 

He was a father figure to me and will always be in my mind.

Cousin Richie and I shared the same birthday. I would call him on that day.He was a great dad and grandpa he followed in the footsteps of Abe and Henry I was lucky to call Henry my grandpa and Abe my uncle.Richie was the photographer at my Bar Mitzvah .He was my go too when I was buying my first 35 millimeter camera. If I had any questions he was there with the answer. He was someone I will miss.My condolences to his wife Linda and my cousins.

Richard was a wonderful, loving friend and I shall miss him.  He was a long time member of  the Jewish War Veterans who successfully performed the job of "Membership Chairman" for many years.

I Shall miss our conversations about the N.Y. Yankees;  we complained about their lack of success over the last couple of years, but we always agreed to "wait until next year."

Remember Rich from the time he spent with Missile Stamp Club. We had great times.

When I first joined the JWV, in 2006, I met Richard Levine.  We
shared many wonderful memories of Brooklyn, New York,

Condolences to the family and friends of Richard... I remember Rich well when he first moved down to Melbourne from Long Island, he was a member of our local Missile Stamp Club, many meetings sharing the love of stamp collecting- rest in peace my friend.
