Richard Alan Baxter

He was born on August 7th, 1954 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Clyde and Mary Jean Baxter. Richard was a long time resident of Brevard County, Florida and graduated in 1982 with a Bachelors in Accounting from the University of Central Florida. He started his career with Pan American World Airways out of Cape Canaveral, Florida. His career brought him to many other locations around the United States where he was Executive Director of Facility Maintenance for Johnson Controls Inc. After retiring in 2015, he and his wife moved back home to Brevard County, Florida and settled down in the Suntree area.

Richard was an avid NASCAR fan and loved watching College Football. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Richard is survived by Sharon, his loving wife of 47 years; His Children: Elaine (Chris), Rae (Jason), Richard Jr (Charlotte), Jefferey (Mara); his Grandchildren: Joe, Lizzy (Dalton), Ryan, Katie, Emily, Richard III; his brothers: Ed (Donna), Bruce (Cheryl); and his special sister-in-law, Barbara (Jim); as well as several nieces and nephews.

Please join us to celebrate Richard's life on Friday, December 16, 2022. A visitation will be held Friday, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, Florida, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.

Richard will be laid to rest in Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 South US Hwy 1, Rockledge, Florida.
