He was the son of the late Cornelio Renta Martinez and Luisa Torres.
Ramon known to many as Rey or Ramoncito by his immediate family was a very funny, happy and lively person with everyone. His career included taxi driver in New York City, Material Dye department supervisor, Lead Shipping Clerk, shipping/receiving manager, machine operator and transporter of goods as a truck driver in New Jersey for the five boroughs of New York.
He always enjoyed changing cars, playing baseball, watching boxing, mystery movies, and family gatherings, he was always the center of attention with his jokes.. if he didn’t know one he would just make it up instantly and had everyone laughing. He loved to see people laugh from his jokes. He organized his car garage so that nothing lay on the floor. He knew exactly where everything was because he kept an inventory list. Rey was a great father, husband and wonderful provider for his wife and son. He was a proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather which were his pride and joy. He was a positive hard worker throughout his entire life and the lord has gained an angel.
Ramon is survived by his wife Harriet Martinez, his son Ramon Luis Martinez Jr, three grandchildren Amanda Elizabeth Martinez Chern, Alyssa Martinez, Anthony Martinez, one great grandchild Caleb Yi Chern. He had thirteen siblings Lucilla Martinez, Adela Martinez and Hector Rentas deceased and is survived by three brothers Efrain Martinez, Eliseo Martinez, Alberto Rentas and seven sisters Maria Teresa Torres, Cruzita Martinez, Milagros Rentas, Maria Teresa Ruiz, Rosa Serrano, Haydee Martinez, and Ana Rentas.
