A long-time resident of Bridges (formerly Brevard Association for Retarded Persons) Springwood Homes, Rockledge, FL, Peter was relocated to Huntington Place (now Orchid Cove) after a severe stroke in 2016.
Peter’s parents, Alfons and Gretel Leins predeceased him. His father, Alfons Leins served as choir director for many years at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Rockledge where the family had been faithful members of the parish.
Peter loved music, especially singing and was always proud of his participation in various sheltered workshops under the auspices of Bridges. He was a kind, patient and gentle man who will be missed and lovingly remembered by his many friends and caregivers.
Peter will be interred at Florida Memorial Gardens next to his parents. A private memorial will be planned for sometime in November.
