She was born on May 12, 1933 and grew up in Swepsonville, NC where she attended Alexander Wilson School. After graduation, she completed her undergraduate degree in Business Education at University of North Carolina Greensboro in 1955 and her Master's in Business Education at The University of Central Florida in 1973.
Peggy taught business education at Satellite High School from 1963 to 1988 when she retired. During that time, she coached the Girl's Golf Team. She truly loved teaching.
She became a Christ follower at a young age and lived her life devoted to her Lord and Savior. In 1993, she began attending Calvary Chapel Melbourne and was active in the church serving in many ways. They included Guest Services, leading women's Bible studies, counting the tithes and offerings every week, participating in Women's Ministry and other groups for about 25 years until her health no longer permitted it. Peggy was a great teacher, a loving sister, and beloved Aunt (for several generations).
Peggy is predeceased by her son, Joe and her sister, Marie Isley Williams. She is survived by her niece Kathy Hegarty, grand niece Katherine Aragon and her husband Gabriel, and their children; Gabriel, Marisa, and Christopher, Carmen and her husband Wesley Peck, and their children; Luna, Raymond, Phoenix, and Novalie.
A memorial service will be held at Calvary Chapel Melbourne, 2955 Minton Road Melbourne, FL on March 1, 2024 at 1:00PM.
