Michael “Mickey” Dean Mutter, age 68, of Satellite Beach, Florida passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015, after a valiant battle with cancer. He was at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Johnson City, Tennessee on September 29, 1946 to Mattie (Carrier) Mutter and Frank Mutter where he grew up with his five brothers and a sister before starting his career with the U.S. Army. After retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel, he had a second career at Kennedy Space Center.
Mickey had a profound love of God and joyously served Him through his active membership with the Satellite Beach United Methodist Church, the Emmaus Community, and through Stephen Ministry. He was a respected leader in the church, a loving father, and devoted husband. He is survived by his wife, Mary Mutter, daughters, Melissa Spalding, Kristina LaBarre, Melinda Jenkins, Brenda Arnold, Glenda Pena, son, Dan Tesenair, brothers, Don Mutter, Reggie Mutter, Ronnie Mutter, Mitchell Mutter, Tim Mutter and sister, Joan Brown. He was also the proud grand-father of eighteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mickey's Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Satellite Beach United Methodist Church, 450 Lee Avenue, Satellite Beach, FL 32937.
It was Mickey’s wish that donations be made to Stephen Ministry of Satellite Beach United Methodist Church (c/o Mickey Mutter) in lieu of flowers.
