Dear Mikey,
       It's your little sister. Just wanted to write a few things for the world to know about you.
        I write this with the heaviest of hearts, but also with the biggest smile in my soul. Everytime I think of you, I will always remember the biggest smile and the most contagious laugh you always had. I knew anytime I would talk to you,we would both end up having the best laugh. And that will be what I miss the most. Because no matter what personal issues you were going through,you could always put a smile on anyone's face. I saw the pure love and respect that surrounded you by the lives you touched.
             I have always looked at you with the greatest pride in my eyes, you were and always will be the best big brother. I have watched you work your whole life and knew you could do whatever you set your mind too. And the best job you ever did was : be the best brother a sibling could ask for, the best father a son could ask for, the best grandfather 3 grandsons could ask for,the best father in-law a daughter could ask for,the best husband a wife could ask for,the best uncle my children could ask for, and the best friend the world could ask for. So I will always walk with my head high knowing you were my brother and no one can ever take that from me. And no person shall ever speak ill of you without having a ticket straight to hell.

I met Mike at the Windjammer where he worked. Whenever I saw Mike he had a big smile and a wave. Through the years, we became good friends. Periodically, I would buy a six pack of beer and put it in his truck on ice. He helped me so many times, even just helping me carry something up to my mothers condo. I adored that man. He was a fine, fun-loving, gentle soul. I miss him so very much, but I will smile when I think about our talks and laughs we shared. There are people who cross your path that leave a footprint on your heart...Mike. ♥️

Whoa Uncle Mike, I got memories for daysss!! Years at that!! You were a great man & I love you for who you are. For who you were to us. I shouldn’t even be writing this, I told you everything I ever wanted you to know that I never told you before. I meant everything I said. Wish I would’ve told you sooner. I love you dude!!

We will miss you so much!! Our hearts ache and our minds can hardly understand that you are gone from this earth.  I’m still asking why?  

You shared your love of fishing with the boys and planted a seed in their hearts that they will carry with them forever.  I’m grateful for the love you had for them.  I’ll miss seeing you casting from the dock at the river house, walking and waiting for the right moment to throw the net.  

The boys can cast a net because you patiently showed them how, starting with the small nets when they just little boys.  They know how to rig a pole and bait the hook.  They can fillet a fish pretty good too.  All because you loved them and taught them. 

At least now we know you are fishing all the time.  You don’t have any “to-do” lists.  You have a new permanent place of your own.  That’s the only thing I can take solace in, knowing you are truly at peace.

We loved you and we stand by you in death.   Your memory will live on in our hearts, never to be forgotten.  I know you’ll find Jay and the boys THE BEST fishing spot up there!!  I guess having you up there first gives all of us that loved you something to look forward to.  Until I hug you again....

Mike was a wonderful man so full of life and experiences.  He shared so many of his happiest thoughts especially about his "boys".  He loved his family and we pray that you can find comfort in knowing that you were always in the foreground of his thoughts.  

We are so sorry to hear of Mike's passing.   He was a good man; always with a ready smile and a helping hand.

Gone too soon....We are praying for Mike and all the family & friends that he so suddenly left behind.  We wish you peace and comfort from your most cherished memories of him.
We'd only known Mike for about a year, but we quickly discovered what a great guy he was.

Mike was an important part our family here at the Windjammer.  He was a warm and wonderful person who always had a smile for everyone.  He will be sorely missed and glad God sent him into our lives.  His last great gesture was to take the hurricane away from our shores on his journey to Heaven. Condolences to family and friends.

Mike will be sorely missed at the Windjammer.  He was a good friend to us all here. Always ready to help with a smile on his face.  We are heartbroken and shocked as we know you all are. Heaven  has him now.  Our  sincere condolences to his family and all those that loved him.

Please know that your family is in our thoughts and prayers. Our sincerest condolences for an incredibly great loss. At the Windjammer , Mike was kind and helpful to us every day! No matter how busy he was (and he was ALWAYS busy), he had a warm hello and a smile. He was able to fix anything- so very intelligent. There will never be another Mike. We feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to know him.

Mike will be missed greatly by myself and my sons. There was never a day where he was too busy to say hello or offer some kind words. Though I only knew Mike for three and a half years, I considered him more than our maintenance man - I considered him a friend. God bless you my friend.

Michael, thanks for being here and sharing your life with us for these past five years.  You will be truly  missed my friend.  

Wishes for a safe journey for Mike, and heartfelt warmth to all the family and friends who love him.  He was a friend.  He brought friendship and smiles to all of us at Windjammer as he proudly regaled us with stories of fishing with his grandchildren.  He never would tell us his secret fishing spot.  Peace to Mike on his journey.  Our hearts are weeping.
