Michael F. Finn, 87, a retired metal lather, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013 at his home. He was born in Astoria, NY and came to Brevard County in 1989 from Rockaway Beach, NY. Michael was a member of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also an honorary member of of both the Jewish War Veterans and the Sisters of the Presentation, New Windsor, NY. Michael was a foreman for the Metal Lather Union, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served in World War II.
Survivors include two sons, Gerald (Julie) Finn and Michael Finn; three daughters, Tina (William) Neville, Tracy (James) Conroy, and Tricia (William) Smith; five grandsons, William, Gerald “Jay”, James, William “Bub”, and Kyle; four granddaughters, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Suzanne, and Casey; and sister, Carol Baker.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, January 2, 2014, from 6-8pm at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Palm Bay, and then on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 1-2pm, also at the church. A funeral mass will follow at 2:00pm at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with entombment at Florida Memorial Gardens. The Life Event Center at Florida Memorial is entrusted with arrangements.
