Mary F. Smith passed away peacefully in Mission Oaks Assisted Living Facility in Oxford, Florida on August 6, 2020. She was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on Jan. 23, 1928. At age 17, she married Joe T. Smith on Jan. 12, 1945. Joe preceded Mary in death in 1994. They had one child, Janet Smith Burris of The Villages, FL, and a grandchild, Oliver Lee Burris of Apopka, FL.
Mary was a very friendly lady, the life of the party, and ruled her family with a firm, loving hand. She was an active member of The First Baptist Church in Merritt Island, FL for over 40 years. In addition, she was also a proud member of the Daughters of American Revolution.
Her friends and family are forever grateful to the wonderful staff at Mission Oaks who supported Mary with love during her transition from this world to be with her loving father in heaven.
Graveside services will be Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 3:30pm, at Florida Memorial Gardens 5950 South U.S. Highway 1, Rockledge FL.
