Mary Lou Fryman, aged 96, passed away on September 16, 2023, in Tomball, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Radnor, Ohio, and her life was a testament to the enduring qualities of kindness, faith, and family.
Mary Lou dedicated herself to making people feel welcome and cherished throughout her life. She worked as a Welcome Wagon greeter, extending warm greetings to newcomers, and later contributed her warmth and hospitality as a valued employee of Montgomery Wards.
Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, as she was an active member of Rockledge First Baptist Church, where her strong sense of community and devotion to her faith made a lasting impact.
Mary Lou Fryman is survived by her son, Jon Fryman (Becky); daughter, Dianna DeLeon (Hal); daughter-in-law, Kathleen Fryman (Donn) and her beloved sister, Martha Howald. Mary Lou was a proud and cherished grandmother to 10 grandchildren and to 23 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Fryman and son, Donn Fryman.
A Graveside Service will take place on September 23, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor her memory and share stories of a life well-lived. A Celebration of Mary Lou's life will be held at a later date, to be announced.
Mary Lou Fryman will be remembered for her warm smile, unwavering faith, and her ability to make everyone feel like family. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer Association in her memory.
May she rest in peace, knowing that her love and warmth will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
