Mary Ellen Kenny Hartung, of Viera, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2010. She was born in Sparta, Wisconsin on April 21, 1932 to Leslie and Norma Kenny. She graduated from St. Catherine's University. She came to Brevard County in 1997 from Huntsville, AL. She was an Elementary Middle School English teacher in Wisconsin, New Mexico, Florida, Massachusetts and Alabama. Her hobbies included reading and crossword puzzles. She is survived by her husband, Darryl J. Hartung; daughter, Terrie Hartung Lampi; son, Kenny J. Hartung; and brother, John Kenny. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; Christopher Lampi, Evan Lampi, Ryan Lampi, Valerie Foster, Ryan Hartung and Kasey Hartung. She is predeceased by daughter, Mary Pat Hartung Foster. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Viera at 10:00 a.m. Florida Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
