Mary DeVane Davison

She married Donald D. Davison, Sr. In Miami, Florida on September 5, 1943 and were blessed with two children, Donna (Davison) Stuessy and Donald Davison, Jr.

Mary enjoyed her life as a Coast Guard wife and mother. She liked to tell stories of her time travelling to Japan and living in Hawaii, New York and New Orleans, where she rode as Queen on the Mardi Gras float. She retired to Merritt Island, Florida and lived there for over 40 years.

She was an original fashionista who loved shopping and sewing. She had a strong faith in the Bible and in Jesus Christ. Mary took great pleasure in family gatherings. Her kind heart and spunky attitude will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Donna Stuessy; three grandchildren, Lisa Waite, Ginnylou Murphey and Samantha Ward. She was blessed with 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. She is preceded in death by her parents, Irene (Hart) DeVane and Daniel Fuller DeVane; her husband of 53 years, Donald D. Davison, Sr.; her son, Donald D. Davison, Jr. and her siblings, Ann (DeVane) Peeples, Max DeVane and William DeVane.

A Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00pm on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:00pm at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 south US Highway 1, Rockledge, Florida.
