Mary Katherine Craig (Naber), aged 92, passed away on July 14, 2024, in Melbourne, Florida. Born on June 19, 1932, in Callahan, Florida, she lived a rich and fulfilling life marked by her service, faith, and creative passions.
Mary honorably served in the US Air Force from May 29, 1952, until May 28, 1959, dedicating seven years to her country during a pivotal era. Her commitment to her duties was deeply respected by her peers and superiors alike.
A devout member of the Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne, FL, Mary was deeply involved in her church community, where she also enjoyed participating in various activities.
Mary was known for her kindhearted and beautiful soul. Mary was the most amazing Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Wife. She is loved beyond measure by her family. Her hobbies included sewing, doll making, collecting rocks, and solving word puzzles, each of which brought her great joy and allowed her to express her creativity and sharp intellect.
She is survived by her children, Robert Craig and Tommy Craig; daughter, Margaret Vitiello; grandchildren, daughter-in-law Una Craig, Pete Vitiello and Zachary Charron; great-granddaughter, Ellis Vitiello; sisters, Genevieve Urben and Marion Martin; and nieces, Rita Urben and Anna Roe, nephew William Urben. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Craig SR. her sister Anna Naber, brother Warren Naber, and her parents, Elizabeth and Christopher Naber.
Funeral services are scheduled at Ascension Catholic Church, 2950 N Harbor City Blvd, Melbourne, FL, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM EDT on July 23, 2024. The family suggests that contributions in Mary's memory be made to support the church during this time.
