

Lola L. Belcher, also known as Nana, was born on February 5, 1930, in Gilliam, West Virginia, and passed away on April 2, 2024, peacefully at her home in Cocoa, Florida, at the age of 94. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, with a great great-grandchild on the way. Lola was a strong willed individual with a heart of gold who cherished her family and close friends.
Lola had a successful career as a Fashionista, before Fashionista was a thing, working at Clothesville Junction in Rockledge and The Wardrobe in Cocoa Beach. She had a keen eye for style and enjoyed traveling to markets in Atlanta and Miami to select clothes for her numerous clients.
In her free time, Lola took great pride working in and maintaining her yard, ensuring it always looked immaculate. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother, emphasizing the importance of family bonds and staying close to her loved ones.
Lola was a member of King Street Baptist Church in Cocoa, where she found solace and community. Her life will be celebrated at a service on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Florida Memorial Life Event Center in Rockledge, FL.
Lola is survived by her grandson James “Jamie” Alvin Belcher II, his wife Charlotte, and their three children, great-grandson Jared Belcher, his wife Caroline, and great-granddaughters Amber Belcher and Taylor Belcher. She is also survived by her grandson Scott Darrell Belcher and his wife Katarina. Daughter-in-law Barbara Belcher. Lola was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Alvin Belcher and her son James “Jim” Alvin Belcher.
Lola’s legacy of love, strength, and family devotion will forever be cherished by those who knew her.
