Lewis J. Drake, Sr., age 80, passed away on January 26, 2020 at his home in Melbourne, FL. Born in Utica, NY he came to Brevard County in 1986 from Clinton, NY. He worked at Kmart, then retired and started a new job at the VA Clinic as a security guard. He was the Chief of the volunteer fire department in Lairdsville.
He enjoyed working on his '50 Chevys and playing with his dog, Cocoa, with family and grandchildren.
Lewis leaves behind Debbie Drake Lichenstein, Denise Drake Carraro, Lewis Drake, Jr., Lisa Hannaford, and Pamela Drake, eight grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, MaryAnn Drake; daughter, Laura Rice and grandson, Parish Rice.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 10:00am at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 2800 West Eau Gallie Blvd, Melbourne, FL with a Graveside Service at 12:00pm at Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge, FL.
