Jane Ashlock

Jane was born on November 23, 1938, in Groveland, Florida. She lived in Melbourne, Florida for 38 years. She is survived by her daughter Joyce McPherson and her son Paul Phelps. She is preceded in death by her late husband George Ashlock, her parents J.A. & Venia Adams, and her siblings Dot Wheeler and Jack Adams.

During her life, she was an active member of her society by donating her time to Bowe Gardens Baptist Church, Jupiter Elementary, and Girl Scouts. As a member of her church, she would participate in the choir and volunteer in the children’s program - where many children grew to love Ms. Jane. Her kindness knew no limits as she was often seen helping at various events within her community. Within Girl Scouts and Jupiter Elementary, she was often seen helping put together different projects and being a welcoming presence to anyone that was around her.

For most of her life, Jane was a homemaker, taking care of her children and being a loving and devoted Mother. While she loved crafting, puzzles, and singing, Jane’s favorite role was that of a grandparent. She was a Grandmother of 4, Great Grandmother of 10, and a Great Great Grandmother of 10. She treasured her time with her grandchildren and extended that love to anyone around her – becoming an adopted Grandma to many.

Jane will always be remembered for her loving heart and the way that she always had a hug to give or a kind word to say. We couldn’t have asked for a kinder soul to grace our lives and will miss her every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.

A Gathering of Family and Friends for Jane will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, Florida, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM.

Jane will be laid to rest in Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, Florida.
