He was born on February 28, 1921 in Ronco, PA, to the late Harry and Mary Tucciarone, the fifth of twelve children. He moved to Bethpage, NY as a child.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in Europe and North Africa during World War II. He was a Life Member of the D.A.V.
After his discharge from the military, he moved to Connecticut. He had a long and varied career there, first as an independent building contractor and then as a Professional Square Dance Caller/ Teacher. He was an avid bowler and he loved to dance, ski, play tennis, chess and all kinds of card games until he lost his eyesight.
Harry and his wife, Mary, moved to Viera in 1999, after living for a number of years in Bedford, VA and Hilton Head, SC.
Harry is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mary. He is also survived by his daughter, MaryAnn (Arthur) Resnikoff of Oakland, CA; by brothers Louis of New Jersey and Donald of Melbourne; sisters Anne (Frank) Ribel and Jane Morello of Melbourne; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
He was a kind man befriended by many and loved by all. He will be remembered in our hearts forever.
A memorial mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist, 5655 Stadium Parkway, Viera, FL 32940, on Monday, August 4th, 2014 at 11:00am. Family will receive visitors an hour prior to the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Viera or the charity of your choice.
The Life Event Center at Florida Memorial is entrusted with arrangements.
