Frank Dale Falvey was born to Thelma Hotchkiss Falvey Huber and Frank Malon Falvey on May 20, 1920 in Lincoln, Nebraska and passed peacefully on Friday, December 21st. He was married to Marizelle Webb Falvey in November, 1942. Frank and Mari had six children: Karen Maureen, Sandra Zell, Frankie, Terry Anita, James Theodore and Robert Edward and is survived by his three children, Terry Cohea (Bill), Jim Falvey (Jerri) and Bob Falvey (Maria); grandchildren: Christine Hansen, Colleen Delude, Traci Jarvis, Sherri Bradley, Kelly Cohea, Shelley S-Wilson, Robert Falvey, Benjamin Falvey, Wendy F-Lofton; and Kyle Falvey; and 16 great grandchildren. Frank served 22 years in the U.S. Air Force, mostly as a editor for the base newpaper wherever he was stationed in the U.S., Alaska, and France. He was a semi-professional boxer and swimmer in the 1940s and 1950s and was still active in racquetball, running, working out at the gym and walking in his later years. His love of fishing was a great source of peace and relaxation that he passed along to his children early on. An avid Chicago Cubs fan for nearly 80 years, he had always wanted to see them in the World Series. Well maybe this year will be the one. Frank also loved animals, especially dogs and birds. He trained parakeets to talk and trained his and Mari’s dog Peppy to get the newspaper, find each of his toys by name, and to stand on his hind legs and wipe his mustache with his front paws. Recently, he loved to sit out on the back porch and watch the wild birds.
