Frances Pearl Noland peacefully passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 at the age of 82 in her home in Melbourne, Florida. She was born on May 9, 1934 to Ruth & Daniel Burns in Spindale, North Carolina. In 1953, in Chesterfield, South Carolina, she married the love of her life, Charles ‘Buzz’ Noland, who preceded her in death, and together they raised four children.
She is survived by her children, Anne O’Hanlan, Michael Noland, Shawn Miserendino, Betty Wade, her grandchildren Laurie, Tony, Audrey, Dominic, Kevin, Lee, Amanda, Morgan, Jason, numerous great-grandchildren and her sister Helen Burns Hawks. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles ‘Buzz’ Noland, her brothers Ray Burns and Fred Burns and her parents.
Frances was the first in her family to move away and live internationally by living as a military spouse. She was exceptionally patriotic and took pride in being married to a war veteran. She loved to praise her Lord through gospel music and was a fan of the Gaither Brothers. In her more spritely days, she loved to garden and had an unusually green thumb. She loved to laugh with her girlfriends, and especially with her family. She loved to cook and showed her love for others through her recipes and food. In her later years, she could be found every afternoon watching her favorite soap opera or with a romance novel in her hand. She left behind many great memories of baking pies and screaming at the television during football season. She will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11 a.m. in a private residence - 5205 Sand Lake Drive, Melbourne, FL 32934.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
