I was one of the wins who loved behind the Odaffers in Satellite Beach as a little girl.  Your mom taught us how to say I Love You in German and how to count to ten.  I loved her very much.  She was so kind and gentle with us.  I have never forgotten her or your family.  My condolences for both your parents.  It seems she they had a beautiful life. xo Adina

I have looked forward to this day for quite some time. The day my dear Oma would pass away. Though I'm sad, I can't bring myself to feel this was a negative thing. I see too much good. My Oma passed away in the most peaceful possible way which she deserved. Her husband and family surrounded her with love in the last days, and I truly can't picture a more proper end to this woman's spectacular life. Furthermore, it is hard to shed a tear absolutely knowing she is with God now for she was saved though the savior of the world Jesus Christ. I am sure she looked forward to this day herself. This is not the end, many of us will see her again, and I know she'll be waiting. I know the one thing she would wish for us more than anything is to open our minds to the truth of this life and where it will lead to in eternity. I will carry on my Oma's legacy and do great things using the knowledge her and others have instilled in me. In no way was her life or death in vain, and I couldn't feel happier for her.

Dear George and familiy, I am deeply saddened to hear of Eva's passing. Eva was such an amazing person who was always so happy and loving. Her passing, will not only leave a void in our lives, but in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Eva's memory will allways remain deep within my heart.

Oma was loved, there is no doubt of that.  For as long as I can remember she has always been a part of my life.  I will always remember her smile, her accent and broken English, her laugh, her love, her life, and her legacy.  Even though right now there is sorrow, there will be joy in the morning.  I know where she is, and that brings comfort in knowing I will see her again.  I had 21 years with that amazing woman in my life, and I am so grateful for that.  Thank you Opa and Oma for being a blessed part of my life.

Beim Betrachten der Fotos gehen meine Erinnerungen zurück bis in unsere Jugend auf der Saarburg. Trotz der schweren Jahre und vielen Arbeit hatte sie immer ein fröhliches Lachen und für jeden ein gutes Wort. Sie war beseelt von einem grossen Gottvertrauen, was ihr Leben sehr prägte.

Jetzt, wo Christa's Mutter gestorben ist, und wir schon einen Amerikabesuch ins Auge fassten, werden wir unsere geliebte Eva nicht mehr treffen können. Ist sie bei unserer Mutter Erna beerdigt? Während der Beerdigungszeremonie von Eva brannte bei uns ein Kerzchen für sie. Christa und ich gedachten unserer geliebten Eva im Gebet und wir fühlten uns mit euch in der Trauer verbunden.

Dear George and children,

We are very deeply sorry to hear about the passing of Eva, your beloved wife and mom.

She was my favourite sister.

Viewing the pictures brings back memories from our teenage years in the castle of Saarburg. Despite the difficult years and hard work she always had a friendly smile on her face and something nice to say about everybody. Her unwavering faith in God had a great influence on her life.

Since the passing away of Christa's mother we had considered a visit to America, but given the circumstances are deeply saddened by the knowledge that we won't see our beloved Eva again. Is she buried with our mother Erna?

We lit a candle for Eva during her burial ceremony. Christa and I held our dear Eva in our prayers and felt connected to you in our mourning.

For my Dad and brothers and all who knew my adorable sweet mother.  I am so thankful to God for picking her for my Mom.  She taught me so many things that couldn't be taught with words alone. I, like Kay, remember her arrival in Jacksonville with Eva and my Mother, Louise, being her labor coach when George was born.

It was my great honor to have the opportunity to know my partner's mother, Eva Odaffer who I only knew as "MOM". Mrs Odaffer passed away last week. She was a breath of fresh air to anyone who met her and she will be greatly missed by all.
