Ellen S. Book, 93, formerly of Chapman, KS, passed away March 9, 2018 at her home, The Brennity, in Melbourne, FL. She was born December 11, 1924 in Manhattan, KS to Seth R. and Anna Hoehn Simons.
Ellen was a registered nurse before meeting Gene Book, whom she married in 1950. She continued nursing throughout their marriage and into retirement for more than 40 years. Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Gene, and her eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by her two children, David Book and Susan Book McGrath, two grandchildren, Emily McGrath Andreula and Christopher McGrath and three great-grandchildren Connor, Alexandra and Lucy.
Ellen will be buried in Chapman, KS next to her beloved husband, Gene. No memorial service is scheduled.
