Ella Sue Raper of Melbourne, FL passed away on March 18, 2019. She was 98 years old. Ella Sue was born in Broxton, Georgia and came to Brevard County in 1962 from the Philippines as an Air Force wife. She was a former air traffic controller, a teacher and a homemaker.
Ella Sue and her husband, Lt. Col. John S. Raper moved to Satellite Beach in 1962. John retired from the USAF and they subsequently moved to Indian River Colony Club in Viera, FL where they lived happily for 20 years, playing golf and enjoying the activities.
Ella Sue is survived by her sons, Kent C. Raper and Don G. Raper (Debra) and grandson, Kendall Deyoong. Her husband, John S. Raper predeceased her.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the Indian River Colony Club Hall at 11:00 A.M. 1936 Freedom Dr, Melbourne, FL 32940
