Edward G. Holstein, of Melbourne, Florida, passed away on July 21, 2020. He was 92 years old. Edward was born on April 15, 1928 in St. Albans, West Virginia. He was a World War II Army veteran assigned to Nagasaki, Japan at the closing of the war.
Edward married his wife, Mary, in August 1949. They moved to Florida in 1958 and settled in Melbourne in 1961. He retired from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station after working for thirty-three years with the Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Mary Holstein, five children; David Holstein, Linda Lee, Danny Holstein, Judy Folger, and Connie Holstein. His son, Kenneth Holstein, predeceased him. He had 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and one very fat cat, Mango.
There will be a Funeral Service on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial 5950 S US Hwy 1 Rockledge, FL.
