Born in St. Joseph, Missouri, Eddie came to Brevard in 1957 where he worked as a State Farm Insurance Sales Agent for several years. He was a proud and longstanding member of First Baptist Church of Melbourne and a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Lou Watson; brother, Lynn (Nancy) Watson; daughters, Katie (Rusty) Pope, Cherie (Steve) Jenkins, Lori (Mike) Albine and Kimbery (Pete) Osman; grandchildren, Nicole and Danielle Pope, Sean (Lauren) Fay and Ben Fay, Kolbie (Shawn) Rittenhouse, Jarred (Sarah) Boyle, Garrick (Danielle) Boyle, Morgan and Cameron Osman; great-grandchildren, Lilah, Lauren, Josh, Michael (Brooke), Evelyn, Ethan, Gavin, Lyla, Rhett and Paisley; niece, Stacy (Tiger) May; great-nephew, Parker May. Eddie’s legacy will also be carried on by a great-great grandchild due in December.
A Visitation will be held Friday, July 12 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Melbourne, 3301 Dairy Road, Melbourne, FL A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am with interment to follow immediately at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL.
