Doris J. Smith

Doris Jane Smith, 86, a resident of Titusville, passed away on December 24, 2010 at William Childs Hospice House. She was born July 30, 1924 in Jeanette, Pennsylvania. Doris was a 16 year breast cancer survivor. She spent much of her adult life in Northern Virginia where she and her husband ran a tile contracting firm. Doris lovingly raised a family of six children, three step-children and later really enjoyed her 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Otis R. Smith, and her son John R. Smith. She is survived by her daughters, Pat Doyle, Nancy Campbell, Betty Lanthorne and Cindy Funkhouser; son, Richard Smith; stepson, Jerry Smith; and brother, John Devine, Jr. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at Florida Memorial Funeral Home, 5950 South U.S. Highway #1, Rockledge FL.
