Donna Hannon strived to be the loving and caring mother to her children. She was loved and respected by those who knew her and instantly gained the trust of those she met. She was very dedicated to both work and family.
Donna worked at Hannon Enterprises up until the last eight months of her life. “You couldn’t keep her out of the office.” “It was amazing that mom drove to work, walked up to her second floor office and worked 6 hour days.” “Working gave her purpose and the feeling of being needed,” her son James Hannon said.
Early in her life while working in Civil Service she met her husband and soul mate of 61 years, Thomas Hannon Jr., who preceded her death. Donna lived an exciting and extremely active life. Working in the Red Cross for over 15 years, living in Turkey and Spain for over 25 years, traveling the world allowed her to gain a perspective on life and she made sure that her children did the same.
Donna, born July 30, 1923, lived a full life with no regrets, a loving and honest husband, three wonderful children, and loving family with three sisters and two brothers who preceded her in death.
Donna, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died Friday, August 17, in Brigham City Utah. She was 89. She was born in Paradise Utah.
Other survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Harrowsmith, of Melbourne; her son, Robert Hannon, of Melbourne Beach; her son James Hannon of Merritt Island; her baby, Thomas Hannon, who preceded her in death; her sisters, Peggy Harris of Perry, Utah and Marie Chlarson of Brigham City, Utah.
