Donald Cullember, Sr. passed away peacefully at Palm Bay William Childs Hospice House at the age of 93 on December 10, 2024. Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife Louise. He was a dear father to Lori and Scott Cullember & Cindi Kelley. Beloved Poppa to Jonathan (Laura) Cullember, Heather (Mike) Watts, Jarrett Cullember, Branden Kelley, David Kelley and Erika (Kin) Santos. Don had nine great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren. Don also had many nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews, and a puppy dog named Boo. He was pre-deceased by his children Don Cullember, Jr. and Becki Cullember and his loving parents Allen and Mary Iva Cullember.
Don was born in Annapolis, MD and moved to Palm Bay, FL in 1988. He was in the Navy from 1952 to 1956, serving in the Boiler Room of the U. S. S. Moale Navy ship. He was a plumber by trade, and his first working position was at the United States Naval Academy in the Power Plant. He worked his way to the Plumbing Shop where he honed his skills as a plumber. His last and final position at the Academy was as the General Maintenance Supervisor at Bancroft Hall where all the Midshipmen resided. Don retired from the U. S. Naval Academy as a civil servant employee in 1987, serving the Federal Government for more than 40 years.
Friends and family will be received at the Melbourne First Church of the Nazarene 2745 S. Babcock Street, Melbourne, FL. Family viewing time is from 11-11:30 am; visitation gathering will be held from 11:30-12:30 and the Celebration of Life will be at 12:30.
